The way you can recognize the Hiphil on yakach is by knowing that it's a pe yod verb. The yod of a pe yod changes to a holem vav (also serving as the prefix's vowel) in the Hiphil stem only. You can also determine it's Hiphil by the extra yod in the middle.
ReplyDeleteOn a completely unrelated note, when I went to the blog page to post this comment, both versions of the audio started automatically playing simultaneously! Couldn't find a way to stop them either; there's a little black box next to the words "Audio" and "Slow Audio" but clicking it didn't do anything. It was a little odd. (I'm using Chrome on Windows 7 at the moment.)
