How do you tell apart the pual perfect and the hophal imperfect? Context?
ReplyDeleteThe honest answer is that I also am somewhat puzzled by the kibbuts in the imperfect. I am trying to work from "Hebrew Vocabularies" by William Rainey Harper which I DL'd from Google Books. Harper lists this as a "Hoph. Impf."
ReplyDeleteI assume that means hophal imperfect.
I checked the errata and found nothing about this.
Harper seems,in my opinion, to be pretty good, but once I get a little better with the Hebrew typing I think I'll go back to trying to work with Biblical texts where I can get a little more "footing" so to speak.
